In this playful, mixed-media class, we’ll study the art of the modern tablescape using watercolor and oil pastel. From colorful fruit bowls to textured linens and layered ceramics, today’s tablescapes are a vibrant blend of pattern, form, and personality—perfect for artistic exploration.
We’ll begin with loose watercolor washes to capture light and shape, then add energy and detail with bold oil pastel marks. Studying contemporary tablescapes is a fun way to practice composition while creating a finished piece you’ll love.
