A lifelong noticer, and a chronic feeler, Sarah draws inspiration from beauty, truth and flowers. Sarah can often be found in her garden, up to her elbows in soil, seeds and weeds, and with one or both of her children following close behind. There is a direct relationship between her gardening and her work in the studio. For Sarah, this is all there is. To make a mess. To create something new. To tell it like it is. To cherish life. And to get lost in thought, or no thought at all, while doing so.

Sarah’s work doesn’t stay in the lines. Instead, it meanders, scribbles, and strikes, creating confident images full of life and the artist’s moving hands. Like her own flaming curls, Sarah prefers her work to feel a little unkempt and all the more beautiful for it. Her art captivates in all its ease, because painting is where she finds so much joy and peace.
